| the property of
the state tourism delvelopment board started with the
objective of catering the budget tourist visting uttranchal.
the property was established in the mid ninties under
the auspiciuse of the U.P Tourism. During the initial
phase the property was handed over for constuction and
management to non goverment organaizations. In view of
the performance in managment and constutction of the NGO's
the Uttranchal goverment changed its view and simultaneously
took decion to transfer the property to some other organization
for its better managemnet & opration |

| The decision taken
by the goverment on May 24th 2002 by signing Mou with
HNBGarhwal University gave birth to the TGH Group under
the auspicious of the excutive comittee chaired by the
honorable Vice Chancellor along with following members: |

| This was an inevitable
effort made by the university on experimental basis by
inviting young energetic &skilled human resourse of
the state to come forword and shoulder the responsibility
of tourism development which, can be an example for the
rest of the tourim organizations on the country |
| The project started
with handing over of 22 units by the state goverment to
the TGH Group with furnishing material for 9 units.This
material was further redistributed amongest 16 units to
make them functional during the Yatra season so as to
get a launching pad for the seasons to come. |
| Starting with
the small family of executive comittee today the mumber
reached to some 107 members out of which 48 are the managment
professionals working as unit incharge and the rest are
the helping hand for the gust houses. |

| The overall thought
behind the whole scenario was to pomote tourism professionals
& conceptualize entre prenual skills in the state
of narrow economic opprtunities along with: |

for the budding professionals in various fields of tourism
and travel. |

for tourist/pilgrims to avail more professional envirment. |
| - The Idea helped
in reducing the brain drain &migration of the youths
from the State. |
| - Providing opportunities
for the local youths to acquire jobs thereby reducing
unemployment rate in the socity. |
